For most of his adult life, Adam has taken the road less traveled. A born entrepreneur and philanthropist, he is used to working hard and fighting for what he believes in. Adam revved the engines of the motorcycle world with his creation of ScootinAmerica, a 2 year road trip to raise money for our military, which stemmed from his passion for riding motorcycles and was fueled by his regret of not serving in the military. With his canine co-pilot named Scooter on his back, Adam’s plan was simple – to give back to those who served.
Adam and Scooter departed Florida November 2014 on a mission to ride to every Harley-Davidson dealership in the lower 48. After 2 years on the road, they have ridden cross country six times, logged over 80,000 miles, visited almost 700 Harley-Davidson dealers and have donated over $300,000 dollars to our military. What started out as a guy and his dog on a mission has become the greatest road trip in American history, not only raising money and awareness for veterans, but inspiring hope all across this great country.
Now that the mission of ScootinAmerica is complete, Adam is continuing to pursue his passion for riding in other areas of the motorcycle industry including hitting the road with Harley-Davidson to honor our veterans with MISSION: “THANK YOU”. Together, they are asking Americans to nominate members of the military – past or present – who dedicated their life to protecting our freedom. Based on America’s nominations, Adam will make eight stops along his cross country journey to give away new Harley-Davidson motorcycles including Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. MISSION: “THANK YOU” will culminate with a bike being awarded in New York City on Veterans Day prior to the worlds largest Veterans Parade. Stay tuned for what is sure to be an exciting ride!
Pound for pound the most travelled canine co-pilot on the planet, Scooter has logged more than 20,000 miles with Adam over the past 8 years. Not your typical lap dog, Scooter prefers his riding seat on Adam’s Harley to most any place he can imagine. Not one to let his size be a limitation, Scooter has been known to regularly feast on meals twice his weight and chew equally large bones. Don’t let his quiet demeanor fool you either…this dog is one badass boy. When he’s not riding shotgun with Adam, he has his back—truly embodying the term ‘man’s best friend.’ And, yes, ladies…he’s single.
